Who are these sessions for?

For children 8 to 16 years old. These sessions are great, particularly for those children who struggle to communicate in group settings.

How many sessions will my child need?
Our session’s effectiveness hinges on trust and authenticity, which is why we offer an introductory meeting to ensure that both parties are a good fit for each other.
The number of sessions will depend on the children’s and families’ needs.

Benefits:

Reduced symptoms of stress, depression and anxiety
Self-help skills that improve mental wellbeing
Self-worth
Prevention of the escalation of emotional issues
Improved communication, interpersonal skills and relationships
Engagement in learning
Increased confidence and self-awareness
Reduced workload pressures on schools
Decreased absences and improved attendance
Reduced use of negative coping strategies such as self-harm

AMAS creates sessions tailored to your child’s needs, providing a safe and nurturing space to explore their thoughts and feelings. Our unique approach differs from traditional counseling; our sessions are far from clinical and won’t feel like a formal dialogue.
This approach is particularly effective in helping children develop essential coping skills and problem-solving strategies to help them manage challenges throughout their lives. Our techniques, tools and activities are designed to promote healthy self- esteem and a growth mindset through self-reflection and self-love.
Children will feel empowered to take an active role in their mental wellbeing.

We support children in many areas, such as:

Low-level anxiety
Support at challenging times (e.g., transition, separation, etc.)
Growth mindset (“I CAN do this!”)
Low self-esteem
Building authentic resilience
Putting boundaries in place
Having a poor sense of identity (child’s goals, beliefs, and actions are constantly changing.)

Benefits of opting for a one to one session:
Allows for a personalized approach tailored to the individual’s needs.

It can be more effective as it can be tailored to their pace, making it easier to grasp and apply the knowledge.

One to One enables those children who struggle to open up to share their thoughts and feelings more freely.

This setting also offers the opportunity for greater accountability and progress monitoring, as the instructor can provide feedback and encouragement to the individual directly.

Overall, a one-to-one wellbeing program at home provides a supportive and individualized approach, promoting greater self-awareness, personal growth, and overall wellbeing.
