About the Programme
AMAS – Active Minds and Souls, in collaboration with Marina Zest for Life, has created a wellbeing program called “Super-Self”.
“Super-Self” invites children aged 8 to 16 to explore their “Inner Self” through experiential, science-based exercises to realise they have control of their mental wellbeing.
We provide a safe and fun environment where everyone can explore their purpose, values, vision, goals, fears and beliefs.
Our program;
- Empowers children to become confident and resilient individuals so that they fulfil their goals and positively contribute to society.
- Provides children with the necessary tools, skills and techniques to positively face life’s inevitable challenges and bounce back with hope and determination.
- Provides a clearer self-identity in children.
- Unveils children’s full potential through critical thinking and self-compassion, and self-exploration.
- Gives children an insight into how their brain works and, subsequently, the ability to self-regulate.
The Super-Self program consists of nine sessions of one hour each. Each session aims to equip children with tools and strategies to release their ‘True Self’ so they can navigate our increasingly complex world.
The themes of our program have exclusively been chosen to meet children’s social and emotional needs.
They are as follows;

Session 1
EXPLORING MY SUPER SELF
To know your inner self is to know your purpose, beliefs, motivations, values, and vision and discover that this process never ends. We are work in progress, the process of self-discovery never ends. It’s a life-long journey.
Session 2
MY CONFIDENCE
We have everything we need inside. We must trust ourselves; we are resilient inner beings. Our energy introduces us before we present ourselves.
Session 3
WE ALWAYS HAVE A CHOICE
We always have choices, and by realising this, we empower ourselves to face the challenges that come with them and take responsibility for the outcome.
OUR PHYSIOLOGY AND HOW WE INTERACT WITH THE WORLD AROUND US
Session 4
OUR EMOTIONAL BRAIN
How our emotions sit on our body, and how our brain works. Exploring what causes anxiety, feeling fearful and worry. Learn how to manage stress. How to ground yourself and gain focus. The power of learning to self-regulate your emotions.
Session 5
THE POWER OF OUR WORDS
The power of what we say and how we say it. Our internal dialogue and the practice of self-love and self-compassion. How we interact with others and what we believe to be true, assumptions and perceptions.
Session 6
BULLYING: ME AND YOU
The impact of bullying, setting boundaries and identifying the different types of bullying. Empowering yourself in difficult situations.
RESILIENCE, PERSEVERANCE AND PROCRASTINATION
Session 7
OBSERVE, REFLECT, UNDERSTAND, CHANGE
Understanding other’s perceptions through empathy, how this can influence our feelings, our opinions and subsequently the outcome of our social interactions. Learn how to deal with challenging situations rationally and positively, as we do not always have control over the environment.
Session 8
EXPLORING OUR OPTIONS AND GOALS – PERSEVERANCE AND RESILIENCE
Setting goals and making them a reality through perseverance, avoiding procrastination and making magic happen. The journey is just as important!
